Rapport

A state of harmony within a relationship or conversation that means people feel 'on the same wave length'. Often thought to be made up of 3 elements: mutual attention, physical co-ordination and a shared positive feeling.

Reflective practice

A tool for improving your learning and a key part of developing a growth mindset.  It involves looking back on situations you've experienced and work you've done, critically evaluating how you performed, whether you achieved the outcomes you sought and what you might do differently in future. 


Root cause analysis

A systematic approach to identifying the root cause of problems, issues or events. It's premise is that rather than put out immediate 'fires' we should seek to understand why they are starting and find a way to prevent them.
