System 1

Part of Professor Daniel Kahneman's systems thinking model, System 1 is fast, instinctive and emotional thinking. It uses gut instinct and patterned thinking informed by our unconscious mind to make decisions.  However, it is often working with flawed information and is frequently wrong. 


System 2

Part of Professor Daniel Kahneman's systems thinking model, System 2 thinking is slow, deliberate and consciously logical thinking. It is effortful and allows us to analyse complex situations that require our attention.
